Planned giving benefits both Netivot HaTorah Day School and you. Your planned gift will make a lasting difference for generations of Netivot HaTorah graduates and the Jewish Community.
Planned Giving Defined
A planned gift will extend the depth and reach of your values and beliefs. Your gift can be a one-time donation, a series of payments over a set period of time or ongoing support. Your planned gift may be a “present gift” that Netivot HaTorah can use now, or a “deferred gift” that is available in the future, generally after your lifetime.
With planned giving, you can make a charitable donation that maximizes your tax and estate planning benefits. You decide what portion of the assets you have accumulated during your lifetime; savings, investments, real estate, retirement plan benefits, life insurance policies or tangible property you would like to contribute. These gifts generate much needed financial support for Netivot HaTorah and a meaningful tax benefit for your estate.
For many of us, school memories are among our fondest. With an endowed gift to Netivot HaTorah, you can help build generations of fond school memories for our children and grandchildren.
There are many types of planned gifts that can go to an endowment fund; a gift of life insurance, the proceeds of an RRSP or RRIF, or a traditional bequest under a will.
Endowment funds are used to help fund ongoing programs or activities offered by Netivot HaTorah. Endowment funds may also be used to help Netivot HaTorah expand or maintain our existing facilities. You, the donor, may also designate the use of funds to help purchase educational resources and technology.
Children constitute 30 percent of the world’s population, but 100 percent of our future! Your support of Netivot HaTorah Day School can help guarantee that the children of the future will receive an excellent Jewish education and be brought up in a vibrant Jewish community.
Ways To Give
With careful planning your charitable dreams can be fulfilled as can the security of Netivot HaTorah’s future, while offering you optimal tax relief.
Bequest: A bequest is a future gift made in your will. You or your estate will receive a substantial reduction in estate taxes.
RRSP and RRIF: You can make Netivot HaTorah the beneficiary of your Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIF) or Registered Retirement Saving Plan (RRSP). The tax credit will help offset the tax
that would otherwise be payable on your final return.
Life Insurance: By making Netivot HaTorah the beneficiary of your life insurance policy you will receive a charitable tax receipt for your annual premiums or your estate will receive a tax receipt for the total amount of your insurance benefits.
Publicly Traded Securities: Appreciated shares donated to Netivot HaTorah will be exempt from capital gains taxes and are often a very convenient and tax effective way of supporting the school.
